Medicare help in Rogersville and Hawkins County

Medicare has a lot of parts and deadlines. I'll walk you through them at your kitchen table or by phone, one step at a time.

New to Medicare

Turning 65

Your Initial Enrollment Period starts 3 months before the month you turn 65. Whether you are retiring, still working, or coming off employer coverage, the timing of each step matters.

How I helpWe will map out your dates, what to sign up for and when, and the choices you will need to make.

Part C

Medicare Advantage

Medicare Advantage plans are offered by private companies approved by Medicare. They provide your Part A and Part B coverage, and many include prescription drug coverage. Networks and rules vary by plan and county.

How I helpI explain how these plans work and help you see whether this type of coverage fits your doctors, your routine and where you live.

Medigap

Medicare Supplement

Medicare Supplement insurance works alongside Original Medicare (Parts A and B) to help pay some of the costs Original Medicare does not cover. It does not include drug coverage, so most people pair it with a Part D plan.

How I helpWe go over how Medigap works, when you can enroll, and how it fits with Part D.

Prescription drugs

Part D prescription drug plans

Part D plans cover prescription drugs for people with Original Medicare. Covered drugs and pharmacy networks can change from year to year.

How I helpI help you understand how drug coverage works and what to look at before you choose.

Every fall

Yearly plan reviews

Plans can change their networks and coverage each year. The Annual Enrollment Period, October 15 to December 7, is the time to make changes for the next year.

How I helpWe sit down once a year and go over your current coverage together, so nothing surprises you in January.

Help with costs

Extra Help and Medicare Savings Programs

Extra Help is a federal program that helps people with limited income and resources pay for prescription drug coverage. Medicare Savings Programs, run by the state, can help pay Medicare premiums and other costs for people who qualify.

How I helpI can screen you for both programs and walk you through applying if you may qualify.
